HourGlass tip : direct selection of sound sources

The HourGlass multiple sound sources system can be a bit obscure to use. (As it employs a random selection system with lots of things to set up.) However using the following simple script (in the scripting panel), sounds can directly be chosen to be played with the Script meta A knob or envelope. If you have the meta a parameter already in use, meta b can of course be substituted.

sound=numsounds*meta_a;

Demonstration video, also showing how each sound source can get its own transposition level :

The full script code in the video :

sound=numsounds*meta_a;

table[0]=0.0; table[1]=-24.0;

table[2]=-24.0; table[3]=0.0;

table[4]=0.0; table[5]=0.0;

table[6]=0.0; table[7]=-48.0;

transpose=table[sound % 8];

This feature has been available in the existing public versions for quite some time, so you don’t have to indefinitely wait for a new build! šŸ˜‰

    I will probably add this as a more accessible feature for HourGlass at some point…The same goes for adding randomness to the source position, which has been requested a few times. That is also doable via a script but of course setting up scripts might be something people might not want to do…
