Finally some HourGlass news

HourGlass 1.4.1 preview version will be released shortly. The major new addition will be the XY control, shown in the video below. It will contain some other new things too (like the waveform zoomer/scroller that can now be expanded to show the full length waveform), as well as bug/quirk fixes. But it will be a “preview” release.

The new version has been in the making for a quite long time, but should be followed by new updates more quickly in the following weeks. I will enable and refine some other things I have worked on, not yet included in the upcoming build.

For OS-X users there are sad news. I can’t build for OS-X at all at the moment, but hopefully that situation can be resolved in some way before the end of this year.

Great, every colored-xy-point seems to be mapped to two parameters, if you midi-cc-automate those parameters I assume the xy-point would move then? HourGlass would be just a great third sampler tool, besides ReaSamplomatic and shortcircuit 1.1.2, if it would get the midi note triggerable markers, with the current settings always, of course. HourGlass as a crazy modifieable sampler. Three markers might be enough for the beginning, kick, snare, hihat. Simplification rules often.

Xenakios, how are you using HourGlass mainly? As an editor inside Reaper? If yes, for doing what?
